Your Holiday Trip: How To Save Money on Flight Tickets

By  |  0 Comments

Year-end holidays are coming and like me, you may have probably already started planning your trips. More specifically, travelling by air is great but is usually associated with high spending costs. Indeed, from the airport ticket to the accommodation expenses, the cost of traveling by plane is constantly a nagging anxiety and can sometimes be more of a burden than it’s worth. Needless to say, the appeal of finding deals doesn’t really fade, regardless of the trip. This is why I gladly accepted to publish this infographic from Ivan Serrano, which gives useful tips to save money on flight tickets.

Here is a summary of some of the tips provided in the infographic:

  • Use a flexible calendar to display the cheapest options on travelling websites
  • Before buying a round-trip ticket, check the prices of 2 one-way tickets
  • Flying into secondary airports and small airlines is generally cheaper
  • Discount travel websites are generally cheaper than booking directly through the airline website
  • Sign up to a frequent flyer program. Indeed, airlines and even some credit card companies provide discounts on plane tickets after you have accumulated enough ‘miles’.

Finally, don’t forget that buying at a cheaper price generally comes with a cost. Indeed, when buying your flight ticket at a discount, be fully aware of the things you might be giving up, like cancellation insurance, seating options or baggage rights.

Enjoy!
